Olympia, Washington art-pop duo Moss Hotel deliver *Soft Machine*, a sun-bleached ten-track LP that pairs vintage Mellotrons with shoegaze-leaning guitars. Vocalist Penelope Frost wrote the bulk of the album during a six-month residency in coastal Oregon, and her preoccupation with weather, memory, and slow domestic ritual sits at the album's emotional core.
